The six clubs & societies that form the South Tyne area of the NCPF (Gateshead, Hexham, Ryton, South Shields, Whickham and Winlaton) gathered with each having submitted 10 PDI images covering a wide range of subjects in both Mono and Colour PDI format. Judging was very professionally delivered, with useful and considered critique of all photographs. The result, as can be seen below, was quite close with only a handful of points separating clubs.
This year Hexham Photographic Society finished joint 3rd with Ryton & District Camera Club, which in terms of position is an improvement over last year’s 6th place, although coincidentally we scored exactly the same number of points as last Year!
In the end it was Gateshead Camera Club who were the overall winners, and the highest scoring image of the night also went to Brian Denham of Gateshead for his image ‘Snow Smasher Train’ which can be seen on this year's post on the NCPF website.
