This is an overview of my journey into documentary photography — a path I seem to have wandered into somewhat by accident.

After being encouraged to work in panels for the RPS and similar distinctions, I found myself exploring more structured ways of telling stories through images. Then, during the Covid-19 lockdown (when we were all looking for something — anything — to focus on), I stumbled across photographic project work… and haven’t really looked back since.

What started as a bit of experimentation quickly turned into a long-term interest (possibly bordering on obsession). Since then, I’ve teamed up with a small group of like-minded photographers, and together we are now embarking on our sixth long-term project — clearly none of us have learned how to stop!
