Becoming a member of a Photographic Society can provide opportunities to learn, improve your photography, meet people with the same interest, as well as providing an output for and feedback on your work. Our membership fee for the current season is just £40, which works out at less than £1.30 per meeting!


This website contains information about the society including examples of members recent work such as members galleries, panels and work produced during club assignments. Our syllabus provides a wide range of speakers who discuss their work, photographic techniques and present examples of their images in print or as projected digital images. We regularly organise assignments allowing members to develop photographic technique, we run internal competitions for members as well as encouraging them to enter inter-club, regional and national competitions.


We meet on Tuesday evenings between 7.30pm – 9.30pm at the Torch Centre on Corbridge Road, Hexham, opposite the Hospital; the season runs from the beginning of September to the end of April.
