Welcome to Hexham and District Photographic Society, founded in 1947 by Donald Low

Seventy years on our friendly membership comprises a range of abilities from beginners, to accredited and professional photographers, they cover a broad spectrum of photographic interests, including (but not limited to): landscape, portraiture, sport, wildlife, street, documentary and abstract photography. The majority of our members have made the move to digital photography, however there are still some keen film users among us.

2nd Internally Judged PDI Competition

The first PDI competition of the season took place on Tuesday 13th October. via Zoom. The meeting was well attended and the judge Keith Archer CPAGB from 1st PDI Competition Results

Following the decision by the club committee and council members, that this years traditional Print of the year competition should continue in a digital Image of the Year Competition Results 2019-20

Voting 3rd PDI Comp 2020 - Smartphone Photos

The 3rd Print Competition of the season was held on 4th February 2020 at the Torch Centre. The judge for the evening was Alan Porrett from Whitley Bay 3rd Print Competition Results 2019-2020
