NCPF Annual Competition – The Robert Chalmers trophy for best beginner print.

1st Robert Chalmers Trophy Pat Johnston

The NCPF Annual competition returned to its normal format, including prints and venue at Clara Vale recently. Hexham came 10th overall in the colour prints and joint 19th in the monochrome prints.   A strong performance was made by some of our newest members with “The Robert Chalmers trophy” for best Beginner print in the Northern counties annual competitions being won by Pat Johnston, in addition, John Austin was placed 2nd and 3rd. Print of the year competition 2022

This competition is for a colour and monochrome print photographed in the last 12 months.  The best colour print is awarded the Palmer Pot and the best mono The Wardle Rosebowl.  The competition was ably judged by Stephen Fowler from Ryton photo group on the 20th March.  He awarded 3 HCs in each section. Third Print competition

The third print competition was judged by David Hall from Gosforth, a member of Gateshead Camera Club. This round saw 18 images submitted from 9 Photographers and 10 Members voted on the images submitted. Many thanks to all those who entered the competition or who voted or provided feedback. Third PDI Competition

The third pdi competition was judged by Jim Welsh LRPS CPAGB APAGB from Blyth.  Jim is President of the Northern Counties Photographic Society.  His judging was enjoyable,  constructive and encouraging.  The competition was quite well supported considering the circumstances of Covid and end of season.
