Externally Judged PDI – 7th Jan 2020

Our inaugural foray into an externally judged PDI competition took place on the 7th January 2020. Our judge for the evening was Malcolm Boyd from Castleside & District PC, where he is extremely busy as Treasurer and Secretary. Many thanks Malcolm for an entertaining evening at the Torch Centre, our first meeting of the new decade! Council Meeting January 8th 2020 Highlights

No formal annual exhibition will be held this year at the Abbey to reduce costs. We will focus our attention on publicity via the quarterly Hexham Courant Feature, exhibiting in shop windows via the Hexham Open Space Initiative and exhibiting at the Northumberland County Show.   A volunteer is urgently required to coordinate our participation in the Northumberland County Show starting in early February – please contact the President if you can help.   Dave and Kevin will develop next year’s agenda in order to transition the Syllabus Secretary duties from Rob.   The Society will sponsor the film Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters (2012) at this year’s Hexham Film Festival.   Competition Rules will be Read More …

Council Meeting Minutes 13.11.19

Minutes of the last meeting were agreed as correct by SS.   AGENDA Workshops progress. The Landscape workshop should be completed Tuesday 19th November. The Sports workshop has now been completed. They have received positive feedback as beneficial part to our syllabus. The next workshop is the Astrophotography in the New Year. DB and KH need to finalise details.
