2nd Print Competition 2019-2020 Season

The second Print competition of the 2019-20 season took place on Tuesday the 3rd of December. Many Thanks go to the judge for this round of the competition, David Stout ARPS DPAGB EFIAP PPSA, of Whickham Photographic Club who delivered members constructive feedback on all images submitted.   As agreed at the AGM the competition was judged on the one evening with separate competitions for Beginner and Advanced workers in both Colour & Mono. ARPS Travel Panel: ‘Statement of Intent’ Newcastle upon Tyne has transformed over the years from its former industrial based heritage into a vibrant, modern city. Through time the city’s architecture has evolved to meet the changing needs of the modern world. It is generally a busy city however when exploring many quieter areas can also be found. Photography Workshops Launch


New for the 2019 to 2020 season Hexham and District Photographic Society are pleased to announce the introduction of a series of workshops available exclusively to society members. The workshops selected for this season cover a range of photographic genres, carefully selected to cater for a broad range of interests as well as levels of photographic skills.   For many years the society has organised assignments offering members the opportunity to meet up in different locations, capture images and produce prints to be presented on members nights. Hexham Community Group Showcase

Hexham Photographic Society will be attending the forthcoming Community Showcase event in the Wentworth Leisure Centre on Saturday 31st August. The FREE event is being held by Hexham Community Partnership and is supported by the Tynedale Lions.     Open to the public 10am till 2pm, the event is an opportunity to learn more about Hexham Photographic Society, what we have on our syllabus this year and to talk to existing members of the society.
