Hexham Courant – Calling All Local Photographers

Page 37 of the 29.11.18 Hexham Courant has a call for local photographers. The ‘Best Snaps of the Season’ featuring Tynedale are wanted by December the 14th.   “The aim of the community project is to reflect what the county means to different people, whilst giving local photographers an opportunity to exhibit their work on a professional platform.”   Submission are to be posted on Instagram with title and #OurTynedale and @hexhamcourant. The most popular pictures online will be in with a chance of being selected to feature in a future issue of the Courant and will be accompanied by a short biography about the photographer.

Charity Calendars for the Boatside Inn

Matt Cawood, the Landlord of the Boatside Inn at Warden, took delivery of 100 Planner style Charity Calendars for 2019 and 150 Christmas cards, produced by members of Hexham & District Photographic Society at the end of October.   The Calendars are on sale in the Boatside Inn for £12.50 and will be raising money for the Emma Newton fund. Emma Newton was a Performing Arts student who was killed when a tree fell on her car.
