The Tyne Rivers Trust are a charity which looks after the River Tyne and carries out conservation work to improve it. They are launching a charity calendar in 2017 to celebrate what is the best salmon river in the county and are really keen for our members, or anyone who enjoys the river Tyne, to submit their best photos of the Tyne catchment to help them fill it.
The theme is Tyne River Life so images can cover anything from people enjoying the river to wildlife to scenic shots, as long as it’s taken within the Tyne river catchment which stretches from Redesdale to Tynemouth to Haltwhistle. Click here for a catchment map.
A judging panel will pick the best 13 photos and the winners will receive a free copy of the glossy calendar displaying their winning photo. The closing date for entries is Thursday 21 July 2016 and the calendar will be available to buy from August. The calendar’s production costs have kindly been covered by EGGER, the chipboard factory which sits alongside the River Tyne at Hexham.
How to enter
To enter, email up to two photos, 300 dpi and 3mb in size to: [email protected]. Photos should be labelled with your full name and where they were taken. Click here for more information or download the Charity calendar poster pdf.
